EDUCATION
The YMCA’s
Journey into Education started with the training of
unemployed people in the late 70’s and, as a result
of our reputation and work with youth, expanded
into the youth market in the 1980’s as government
looked to us to offer training to this age group.
Today Education is a key activity stream within the YMCA, and contributes enormously to meeting our mission and vision of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
